What is Melchior?
Melchior.usc.edu is the Kinetics Laboratory file server. Here, you can find
copies of our latest publications, research, and data. Note that this
information is accessible to Kinetics Laboratory staff only. Usage policies
can be found here.
Melchior also has the WebMO interface built-in. It may be accessed here.
What is Solomon?
Solomon.usc.edu is the Kinetics Laboratory compute resource, consisting of
seven Athlon 64 X2 3.0GHz nodes each with 4GB of system memory. It runs
OpenSUSE Linux and uses TORQUE as its resource manager.
How do I use Solomon?
In order to use Solomon, you must understand how to use the Portable Batch
System scripting language. Numerous tutorials exist on line, and one has
been provided here.
